Passion Project

Alex, you have worked hard on your passion project to write a chapter book. Time was against you to complete the whole book but the chapters you have finished are excellent. It was great to see thinking flexibly and remaining open to continuous learning by taking on the ideas Helen Campbell had for your story. Once you have completed the rest of your story you will be decide how you would like to publish it. Make sure you also post it on your blog.
All the best for next year.

My Book Process

Today I am finishing up my passion project! Its the last day for our passion project and hopefully I can finish it today. I am working on getting my picture going. I've been doing some editing. I won't have time to get my story published like a real story in time for sharing night next Wednesday at 9:30 pm but I will still get it published. I'm going to podcast my story. (Read the story into garage-band on my laptop) I have also deleted 1 person and 1 animal who are: Danny the baby brother and Jess the cat. I have deleted Danny and Jess because I didn't really have any use for them in my story.

Helen Campbell and Cromwell people

On Thursday the 3rd of November a writer called Helen Campbell came to Enrich@ILT to help out the writers.
Helen Campbell gave me tips and ideas plus helped me make my story near perfect my work that I have done so far. I am only up to chapter 3 so I am thinking I'll have to make a short story and then make a longer version. Today people are coming into Enrich@ILT all the way from Cromwell! Hopefully I can come close to finishing my passion project.

My Passion Projects Plot.

This is my Passion projects plot. I am trying to show my prior knowledge through my plot by writing what I think and changing the plot when I have got more information. I am going to write up the plot for about 3 chapters after I finish the first three so Its easy for me to know what is going on.

Teacher comment

Alex it was great to see you make clear links between art and our concept curriculum of systems and apply your past knowledge to your art talent development as well as being willing to take on and apply the new learning and the end result after much persistence was a striking piece of art.It was also great to see you gathering data through all your senses to help you sculpt your masks accurately. I will be very interested to see if you can apply some of these new skills to the illustrations in your passion project?

Systems in art

This is a diagram for the systems that are in art. First I found out what Inputs you need in art. Then I found out the Process's and Throughputs. Then finally I found out the Outputs, Feedbacks and losses. Inputs are the things that need to be put into a system to make it work. A Throughput/Process is the things you need to do. The Outputs are what you get from the system. The Feedbacks are what goes through the system again and the losses are what you lose from the system.

Talent Evaluation

This is my Talent Evaluation. My Talent Evaluation shows you how my thoughts have changed and the process I went through in my Talent Development. For my Talent Development I picked art as my topic because I love art and thats why I am at Enrich. In Talent Development my group and I had to make American-Indian masks. One mask was made out of paper mache and the other mask was made out of clay.
